What Free Baby Goat Yoga In The Park Was Really Like (Colorado Summer 2026 Free Outdoor Fitness Class)

When I was compiling the Colorado: Free Outdoor Yoga and Fitness Classes – Summer 2026 Guide, I knew that I wanted to take some of these classes ESPECIALLY the Baby Goat Yoga class!

Here’s what the experience was like.

  • Water Bottle: Stay hydrated! Please bring a closed container to avoid spills.
  • Sunscreen: Don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun.
  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear athletic wear you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Closed-back shirts are recommended, as goat hooves may leave a scratch or two.

  • Stick around and enjoy a bite at one of The Streets at SouthGlenn’s great restaurants.

Signing Up + Prior to the Class

It was really easy to sign up via the link/Eventbrite. My friend and I were able to both get into the July 9 session and I had another friend that was able to sign up for the June 11 date.

There were three emails that were sent – an initial confirmation one the night I sign up, a reminder email a week prior to class (and also asking to cancel if unable to attend) and a second reminder email a day before the class.

The reminder emails also included a link to the required waiver so it could be signed before arriving for class

I got to The Streets at SouthGlenn Common’s Park around 8:45 and there was already a long line of excited people there.

Check in was smooth and very fast as most people had already filled out the waiver.

Once that process was completed, Patricia from Guided Goat Hikes went through what the session would look like – 45 minute guided yoga and then time with the baby goats including a feeding and pictures! She also went through what to expect when interacting with the goats – ie: reminder to tie up hair since goats love to nibble on it or not letting them goats nibble on fingers as they can bite down hard enough to draw blood or if they peed or pooped to flag down someone from the team that can help clean up.

The Yoga Class Part

The Guided Goat Hikes team did have extra yoga mats if people did not bring theirs – do NOT make the same mistake I made and bring a black mat as it got really hot in the sun thus making it (and me by extension) less inviting!

When you are signing up there is this description: Yoga practice: 45-minute beginner-friendly yoga session, which is about more than just yoga—they’re about connecting with nature, sharing smiles, and creating memories with these sweet, gentle creatures. Bring your friends, your sense of humor, and a readiness to experience something truly special!

And it really was accurate – I loved how Patricia would reference the baby goats throughout the session ie”put your right hand on your mat unless it’s busy petting a goat in front of you” or “downward baby goat because they also like to do this stretch”!

The yoga was beginner-friendly and I found it really soothing and meditative. And then the baby goats would just meander around – sometimes stopping to jump on people or as I found out that they really do love hair and will take any opportunity to munch on some.

After Yoga – Baby Goat Yoga in the Park Class

15–30 Minute Photo Op Period: After the yoga session, spend time bonding with the goats. Pet them, hold them, and capture unforgettable moments with your new four-legged friends.

We formed groups of 2-3 and the team came around with bottles so we could feed them! I had no idea that we were going to do that and as you can tell that I was just over the moon about it and the goats!!

Free Treats From Whole Foods

A nice surprise with a team from Whole Foods giving out free goodies: bottled water, electrolytes and snack bars!

Thanks to The Streets at SouthGlenn and Guided Goat Hikes!

This really was such an incredible experience and even more amazing was that The Streets at SouthGlenn paid for it and made it a free experience (along with hosting concerts there!)
