Weekly Travel Inspo (January 1, 2017)
The beginning of the year is a great time to be reminded that “The life you have led doesn’t need to be the only life you have.” – Anna Quindlen
Starting a new weekly post combining some of my loves: fave quotes + my travel photography + inspiration to challenge you, get you to think, have you want to go somewhere or do something, allow you to be grateful for ~ basically an evolution of why this site is called Beautiful Life Beautiful World
And I start off with an image from Playa Blanca. Cartagena was where I started my trip last year. This was my first solo trip and my first time to South America and I started to feel the pull to come back home after receiving two emails. But then on the day I took this picture (timer and tripod if you’re curious), I realized that if I went home then to this perfect on paper job and to try again with my ex-fiance that my life would be exactly the same. It wasn’t a bad life, it was actually a good life in many ways but I wanted and needed more…I wanted what I always demanded from my employees ~ great or even excellent.
I’ve learned that you are never too young nor too old to start really living. Who you are in the past doesn’t have to be who you are now and definitely not who you may be in the future. So create your own destiny ~ your own luck | tell your own story | make your dreams come true | write/re-write/edit your own history ~ your own narrative | define or redefine yourself as many times as you want/need to.
So take a chance and go into the unknown ~ it’s not what is the worst thing that can happen, it’s what is the best thing that will happen? Fear is normal but you mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger darling as someone I met in Cartagena told me…and all this has helped me in living this most beautiful life.
With love
