What Makes This A Good Offer?
Both cards come with no annual fee and 0% intro APR for the first year, which makes them easy to justify and even easier to use. The bonus is awarded after you spend $6,000 in the first 3 months after account opening.
The Ink Business Cash® is great if you want or can rack up points in the extra multiplier categories: 2x at gas stations and restaurants (up to $25K/year) + 5x at office supply stores, internet, cable and phone (up to $25K/year) – you earn 1x on everything else.
The Ink Business Unlimited® is for those who prefer simplified earnings as it is unlimited 1.5X on every purchase (no caps and no categories to keep track of)
To put this into perspective of why this is a good offer: the Chase Ink Business Preferred also has a 90,000 point sign up offer but with a $8,000 spend in 3 months and additionally has a $95 annual fee!
How Can You Maximize This Further?
Remember why credit cards are my favorite travel hack? When you put your everyday spend on a rewards credit card and earn points that you will be able to use for hotel rooms and/or flights for free or very low cost travel! When you start to maximize the spend with sign up bonuses for new cards, then you are really making your money work for you (read this for more info on SUBs and this for how to meet spending requirements)
Note that in order to transfer to Chase travel partners, you must have a Chase Sapphire Preferred card, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Ink Business Preferred or Chase Reserve for Business card.
You would transfer the points earned from these cards to one of the above cards and be able to transfer to a hotel or airline =)
Flexibility is the name of the game with award travel and these cards allow you to earn more Ultimate Reward Points that can be transferred 1:1 to Chase 14 airline and hotel partners as opposed to having a co-branded card (one that is tied to a specific airline or hotel)
Why is this important? As long as you have another Chase card that allows you to transfer to Chase’s airline or hotel loyalty programs partners, the 90K points from your Ink Business Cash® and Ink Business Unlimited® sign up bonuses are worth even more than the $900 that you would get if you redeemed those points for cash or a gift card.

Examples of How Transferring Chase UR Points to Chase Travel Partners Pays Off
Here are some real life examples of why flexible points are so important with the different ways that I have been able to use my Chase Ultimate Rewards points:
How about a nearly FREE business class on Singapore Airlines? The cash value was ~$2,200 but I only paid $5.60 and used 56,700 points.
- There’s many times when Chase will offer a % bonus on transfers so the rate might be 1:1.25 or even 1:1.5 so your points will go even further! Transfer bonuses have made some of my redemptions even sweeter
- Using 8,337 points (20% transfer bonus to Air Canada) for a $466.08 direct flight home from Cabo (plus I paid $135.73) – remember how I said that there is more flexibility than if you had this on a co-branded card? My flight TO Cabo was on United and that was 20K miles and would have been the same amount if I had booked using UA miles (same plane/flight booked via alliance partner-Air Canada)
- Using 58,333 points and paid $73.53 (again a 20% transfer bonus to Air Canada) for a $6,965 business class flights on Swiss + SAS business
- Hyatt is a darling of miles and points and enthusiasts because they still have a published award chart with reasonable redemptions (note that due to the popularity of many of these properties, there are a number that have since moved up to a higher category*)
- Aspirational stays like spending my birthday at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme (2 nights with cash value of $2,880.25/night that I used 90K points/2 nights)
- Being able to stay five nights at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile* and attend the Paris2024 Olympics (cash value of $874/night and I used 18K points/nights
- Exceptional value for using points to stay at Hyatt Place London Heathrow*, Story Hotel Malmo*, Hyatt Place Los Cabos with only needing to use 5,000 points per night when cash rates were $100-$180/night!
