Fly Turkish Airlines to Six Continents and Earn 1 Million Miles!
Another day, another million miles promotion from another airline…this time it is Turkish Airlines offering 1 Million Miles! SAS started off this recent trend with its Million Mile promotion last year (which I am still kicking myself for not doing) and since then Eithad and JetBlue have offered their own versions.
Turkish Airline 1 Million Miles Promotion Details

For the campaign, Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles members can earn one million bonus miles for flying with the airline to all six continents that it serves. Here are the key details/terms:
- Promotion Period: You must book travel and travel between June 27 and October 27, 2025
- For a flight to qualify, only arriving destinations count (departure points and transit stops do not count) meaning that you will have to fly to all six continents
- Also note that the language is really specific in that only itineraries originating from or transiting through Istanbul are eligible (what this means is that fifth freedom flights aren’t included for the purposes of this offer!)
- Flights must be operated by Turkish (so codeshare flights and flights operated by Star Alliance partner airlines aren’t eligible)
- Flights with the final arrival point in Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus don’t count toward this offer (meaning that you will need to fly to another European country to have Europe ticked off)
- Award tickets, corporate agreement bookings, staff tickets, and tickets purchased with a promotion code, are excluded from this promotion
- The million bonus miles will be credited to eligible accounts between November 1 and November 15, 2025
- Flights must be credited to the Miles&Smiles program, and retroactive mileage claims don’t qualify

Considerations For Turkish Airlines’ New Promotion
Did you know that Turkish Airlines flies to more countries than any other in the world? This campaign plays into this fact but do note that one of the T&C is that Turkish Airlines does not guarantee that all listed destinations will remain active during the campaign period. Routes may be subject to suspension due to operational reasons.
So let’s look at the logistics of trying to complete the promotion.
Three of the continents would be easy to complete as flying to Africa, Asia and Europe from Turkey would be shorter (around 3-4 hours) and cheaper flights
Flying to North America would be easier but longer than the other destinations so I would categorize this as medium difficulty.
The most difficult will be going to South America and Oceania. Even as the world’s most global airline, the reality is that Turkish does not provide many options to either continent especially since the airline just started flying to Australia (which is your only route for Oceania)
Cost to Complete Campaign vs Potential Value of 1 Million Miles&Smiles Miles
I am really digging these promotions as this is my kind of crazy and wild behavior lol is this a weird quirk for those of us obsessed with miles and points? Are we the only ones even considering doing these challenges?
Okay so what would it look like to do this and would it be worth it?
To start: you would need, at minimum, six one way flights to all six continents to count towards the campaign. So to maximize this you would need to fly economy or find a great deal on premium cabins since you are paying cash for the flights (remember that award flights do not count).
I like considering this as a 167,000 bonus miles for each continent that you fly to for the promotion (1 million divided by 6 for those wondering where I got that figure).
Conservatively you could say that the 1 million miles would be worth $10,000 if you value them at one cent apiece but really that is just a bookkeeping value for the Miles.
So is this promotion worth pursuing? Very likely that you can come out mathematically ahead and pay under (and hopefully well under) $10,000 for your six flights.
So the question is personal and becomes: how many long haul economy flights would you endure for 1 million Smiles&Miles miles.
Miles&Smiles Award Redemptions
For a long time, Turkish Miles&Smiles program had many sweet spots (aka where you could find outsized value in award redemptions) but truthfully it was gutted last year when Turkish revamped this loyalty program. But there remains one that many may find very useful as even with the miles increasing, domestic flights within the US on United is 10K miles with a very big plus that Hawaii is counted within this.
Personally I am very tempted by this especially since I need to get some flights on Turkish Airlines to maintain my Smiles&Miles elite status….
Anyone looking to do this?
