Gas Prices Got You Down? Here’s How To Save $1/gallon on Wednesday Fill Ups THROUGH January 15, 2027

Oof. It does not look like gas prices are going down anytime soon and so I wanted to show you an easy way to save at the pump! OnePay is back with their Wednesday Fill Up promotion for another three+ months!

ONEPAY: Wednesdays Earn $1 Back Per Gallon (AKA as $1 OFF / GALLON ON GAS)

  • When: every Wednesday until January 15, 2027
  • How (note there have been a few changes to T&C)
    • Find a station and activate offer – must be claimed before purchase
    • Offer valid only at that specific location activated
    • Must make purchase within 4 hours of activating
    • Cash back earned as points
    • Except for OnePay debit card (I would not advise you to get the Builder card), only purchases using physical cards will earn points
    • Offer valid only on first 50 gallons
    • Cash back amount determined by number of gallons and the offer for the grade of gas purchased
    • If receipt doesn’t include the grade of gas, you will receive the cash back applicable for regular grade gas
    • You may be asked to provide proof of purchase
    • A maximum of 2 offers may be claimed at the same location within 24 hours
  • When will you see the points?
    • Points are typically available in 2 days but can take up to 10 days.

Does This Really Work?

Yes! I activate for the Phillips 66 and received $1.45/gallon as promised in the form of 2480 points which transfers to $24.80.

Note that offers can vary week by week and this is higher than normal $1 -$1.10/gal that I typically see.

As you can see that I don’t drive a lot as I only normally fill up every two – three weeks (a bit longer since I was gone for a couple World Cup matches this summer) but I was able to save $24.80, $12.98 and $18.94 on the three gas fill ups that I did.

As promised, the points appeared in 2 days for me – always the Friday after I filled up automatically.

There is also a bank bonus with this OnePay account!

Note that in order to redeem your points and to get the bank bonus, you will need to have at least $500 in direct deposits within the first 45 days.

As this is a Fintech (financial technology) company and not an FDIC insured bank, it might make most sense to use this as a secondary account and use for gas purchases.
