Cyber Monday: World of Hyatt 15% Cash Back + Best EVER $50 Referral Bonus to Join

World of Hyatt has FINALLY joined a shopping portal with an especially tempting 15% cash back!

Cyber Monday – World of Hyatt 15% Cash Back

On Monday, December 1, 2025, you can book your rooms via Rakuten for 15% cash back at World of Hyatt!

About World of Hyatt

World of Hyatt is Hyatt Hotel’s loyalty program and is my favorite for hotels for many reasons but one of the most important is that there is still a published award chart with reasonable rates.

Rakuten World of Hyatt Offers Terms & Conditions / Exclusions

  • Exclusions: Cash Back is only available on completed hotel stays in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Cash Back if not available on the portion of stay paid for with points. Cash Back is not available on gift cards or purchases made with gift cards.

Posting Time

  • Cash Back will be automatically added to your Rakuten account after the stay is completed
    • As always, best practice is to use the Rakuten app to ensure that everything is properly cookied – take screenshots + keep emails from Rakuten and World of Hyatt until cash back has been paid out

Will You Receive Elite Benefits (if Applicable)?

  • YES! One of my favorite things about using shopping portals is that you book directly with the merchant (in this case, World of Hyatt!) as opposed to a third party travel booking so your stay is eligible to earn elite night credits and you will receive applicable World of Hyatt elite member status benefits.
    • I can personally attest to this as I booked a stay for November 29, 2025 and was recognized as a Globablist with a complimentary suite upgrade, waived destination fee and free breakfast among other perks!

What is Rakuten and How to Use It for Cashback

The TLDR is that Rakuten is a shopping portal that is paid by merchants for directing traffic and the corresponding sales to their sites and Rakuten in turn pays you when you go through them to visit and buy from merchants.

Here’s my in-depth how to guide on Rakuten which includes my own shopping example with a big payoff, showcase of places and things you didn’t think you could earn cashback on (bank accounts, dining at participating restaurants!), payment info and so much more!

Is Rakuten Legit? Seriously is it worth it?

I am sure that there are some of you are that are wondering: is this even legit? Maybe it seems a little too good to be true or maybe a little sketchy? Or is this even worth my time to do?

This was what I was had earned between 6/30/2023 and when I published my guide on Rakuten in 11/2024, I have already earned almost $1,500 cash back (and remember that I primarily use the American Airlines shopping portal!) This is the amount that has been paid AKA how much I have received in cold hard cash (and AMEX Membership Rewards points) – showing that Rakuten really does work as I have received the cashback as promised and advertised!

Cash back via check, PayPal, AMEX Membership Reward points or BILT points

This is where you can really make your money work for you. If you spend $1K at World of Hyatt, you would get $150 cash back or 15,000 BILT points (which do transfer to Hyatt!)!

Join Rakuten and Earn an Extra $30! BEST EVER $50!

And if you are new to Rakuten, here’s your chance to earn an extra $30 on top of the cashback you earned shopping with Rakuten!

Simply use my referral link to sign up and place qualifying orders (that have been confirmed) totaling a minimum of $50 within 90 days of becoming a member! Note that you must be new to Rakuten and must be located in the 50 United States, D.C., or Canada to qualify. Rakuten will send a check or PayPal for the $30 in as soon as 15 days after your first purchase. Then get paid quarterly (you can have it sent as a check, deposit in your PayPal or converted to American Express points!) or get paid instantly if you redeem your cash back as a gift card.

Beautiful Tip: If your stay is more than 90 days out and you are signing up for Rakuten, use the shopping portal for other Christmas shopping to get your $50!

Why Should You Do This?

The question is why wouldn’t you do this? It’s an easy way to earn cash back on a stay that you were going to book anyway! Why would you leave money on the table?

  1. This is a game changer – thanks for the heads up!

    1. Hi Casey. I am in agreement that this is very big news since you get EQN and elite benefits with the cash back coming back BILT -> Hyatt.

  2. Why can’t find this on Rakuten?

    1. Hi Joy. Unfortunately merchants come and go on shopping portals and Hyatt’s time was very short lived on Rakuten. I am hoping that they will return soon – one example is that historically Hilton removes itself from shopping portals in quarter 4 and then comes back after the new year -not just from Rakuten but also AA shopping portal! Fingers crossed
