Prime is a subscription service from Amazon that offers a variety of benefits

  • Steaming and digital benefits with the booking process from being able to book now, pay later and many of the tours having a FREE 24 hour cancellation policy
    • Access to Prime Video for streaming movies and TV shows
    • Prime Music for ad-free listening
    • Prime Reading with rotating selection of eBooks, audiobooks and magazine
    • Amazon Photos: with unlimited full-resolution photo storage and 5GB for video storage

What is Amazon Prime for Young Adults?

Those aged 18 – 24 years old or in school received a discounted Prime subscription with almost the same perks and benefits as Amazon Prime! Notable differences are you cannot share your membership but you do earn 5% Cashback!

What is the 5% Cash back for Prime for Young Adults?

Cash back is available to eligible customers enrolled in Prime for Young Adults

  • Eligible Customers will earn 5% cash back on purchases of Eligible Products.
    • 5% Cashback will be calculated on final price excluding taxes + shipping
    • Eligible Products are identifiable with badges on product search and detail pages.
    • Eligible Products are listed in the product categories of Beauty, Apparel, Electronics, Personal Care and Personal Computers.
    • The maximum amount that can be earned is capped at $500 cash back per calendar year and at $100 cash back per purchase.
  • Spending Cash Back
    • There is a minimum of $5 balance of Prime for Young Adult cash back when spending
    • Earned cash back is redeemable on most Amazon.com purchases except gift cards, digital content, and Prime membership fees
    • You must apply earned cash back at checkout (before taxes and shipping) and cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases
    • Cash back earned will expire in 180 days after they were earned, and Eligible Customers will not be able to use after that period

Who is Eligible For Prime Access and How to Qualify?

You can qualify for Prime Access in two ways: based on your household income or by being enrolled in a government assistance program. If you qualify through income, our secure third-party partner will verify that your household income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline based on the information you enter. This verification is quick and easy.

Alternatively, if you’re enrolled in a government assistance program, you can upload documentation showing your participation. Eligible programs are listed below.

  • SNAP: Enter your EBT number and upload an image of the EBT card
  • SSI: Supplemental Security Income (this is different from Social Security and SSDI)

  • TTANF: Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
  • NSLP: National School Lunch Program, (letter must include your child’s name and the school’s name)
  • LIHEAP: Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
  • WIC: Women, Infants, and Children program
  • NAP: Puerto Rico’s Nutrition Assistance Program card (Tarjeta de la Familia)
  • Tax Transcripts: Upload a picture of your transcript on an external Verification Service portal. Transcripts can be found at www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
