Happy 303 Day! Start Your Summer Planning With Free Concerts @ Levitt Pavilion Denver
It’s time that I rectify the fact that I have neglected to write about where I am lucky enough to call home and today is a great day to start.
303 is the original area code for the Denver – Boulder area so unofficially March 3 is used to celebrate the Mile High city. Colorado’s own 3OH!3 is a big promoter of the day and will celebrate it at their concert at Larimer Lounge. In addition, there is a free concert at Number 38 – with local bands, giveaways and more – find out all the details here.
Levitt Pavilion Denver
This is the perfect segue into introducing one venue that is still under the radar for too many – and they just announced their first wave of free shows for the 2025 season: Levitt Pavilion Denver. As stated on their website: Levitt Pavilion Denver is Colorado’s all-ages outdoor amphitheater, presenting 50 FREE + concerts and community events each summer in beautiful Ruby Hill Park. We believe that music has the power to bring people together across cultures, languages and lived experiences and should be accessible to everyone — regardless of their ability to pay.
It’s such a cool concept but even more importantly, it’s a great venue to enjoy live music. I have seen both free and paid shows here with music ranging from the Flobots to Central City Opera Presents to Panda & People to Pink Martini to Garbage to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. I had a prior obligation otherwise I would have went to the John Legend concert with my friends!
Here’s what to know about the free shows:
- Where to find the Levitt Pavilion Free Concert Series line-up and RSVP
- All free shows are all ages – but artists are not censored so do due diligence if you are worried about appropriateness for yourself/family
- For FREE shows, RSVP is encouraged but walk up entrance is permitted up to venue capacity.
- Re-entry is allowed (but typically not for paid shows!)
- One of my favorite things about this venue is that you can picnic / have lawn chairs here while enjoying your live music – see what’s allowed and what is prohibited here
Other events at Levitt Pavilion:
There’s also a free yoga on the lawn series but I was gone when this was put on last year so unable speak re the experience. I can’t wait to go this year!
How to get to Levitt Pavilion + Parking
