MAJOR NEWS: World of Hyatt is Now on TopCashBack – With 10.1% CashBack This Weekend ONLY

I know that I wasn’t the only one that was bummed out when Hyatt’s time on Rakuten ended up being so short but here’s an unexpected Christmas in July moment: World of Hyatt is now exclusively on TopCashBack!

What is TopCashback?

TopCashback is a shopping portal that rewards you with cashback when booking travel, doing online shopping or even opening bank accounts! If you are doing any of these activities, it will be eye opening to see how much money you could be putting back in your pocket!

What does it cost? It’s FREE!

TLDR version: You shop with one small difference being that you do it through TopCashBack. They get paid by the store for your business and then pay you some of that money in return for shopping through them – this is why the tracking cookie is so important!

How does TopCashback work?

You will then search for the merchant on TopCashback to see if they offer cashback (ie unfortunately Costco and *Amazon are two popular retailers that do not participate -*every once in a while, you can earn some cashback when Amazon pops back onto the portal but it’s not often)
Either click on the TopCashback extension and activate the cash-back for the store OR Click on the store to activate cash back on the app*
TopCashback will add a ‘tracking cookie’ as you make your purchase on the merchant’s site
Make sure to read the terms and exclusions to ensure that your purchase will be eligible for cashback!
Once the purchase is processed and the order information is sent to TopCashback, you will be notified that cash back has been added to your account.

Beautiful Tip: Unfortunately you can’t make your purchases directly in the TopCashback app (as you can for Rakuten with the tracking being more seamless). If you shop from a computer, you should definitely add the TopCashback extension. And for those on their phones, use Chrome and not in incognito mode (unfortunately Safari security makes it really difficult to track purchases so I begrudgingly use Chrome).

Cashback on World Of Hyatt Bookings! ELEVATED 10% THIS WEEKEND ONLY

As of today, July 25, 2026, you can book your rooms via Rakuten for 10.1% cash back at World of Hyatt! Looks like it will drop to a still impressive 6% cashback rate.

World of Hyatt is Hyatt Hotel’s loyalty program and is my favorite for hotels for many reasons but one of the most important is that there is still a published award chart with reasonable rates.

Cashback will be added to your account after the stay is completed.

Will You Receive Elite Benefits (if Applicable)?

YES! One of my favorite things about using shopping portals is that you book directly with the merchant (in this case, World of Hyatt!) as opposed to a third party travel booking so your stay is eligible to earn elite night credits and you will receive applicable World of Hyatt elite member status benefits.
- Personal experience: when World of Hyatt was on Rakuten, I booked a stay for November 29, 2025 and was recognized as a Globablist with a complimentary suite upgrade, waived destination fee and free breakfast among other perks! And I have used the AA shopping portal for Hilton stays and had my HH Diamond status recognized.

Is TopCashback Legit? Seriously is it worth it?

I am sure that there are some of you are that are wondering: is this even legit? Maybe it seems a little too good to be true or maybe a little sketchy? Or is this even worth my time to do?

I don’t use TopCashback often as I prefer to earn points (via Rakuten) or miles (via AA shopping) rather than cashback but I have used it without issues. And one of the cool things about TopCashback is that they do a lot of promotions to get you to use them again. I don’t do a lot of shopping but that $15 was spending $15 at Sephora and getting $15 from TopCashback!

My Real Life Example with GetYourGuide Bookings

I used TopCashback when booking an excursion that was on available on GetYourGuide during our big family cruise!

I used all of the best practices and followed the terms and exclusions to ensure that my bookings were eligible.

I received a First Click was successful email the same day as booking (photo on left) and then a Transaction Notification the following day (photo on right).

At this point, the cashback was showing as pending in my TopCashback account.

TopCashback Statuses

Once the excursions were completed, it took a day or two for the cashback to change to confirmed in my TopCashback account.

After that, it was ~30 days for the cashback to change to payable in my TopCashback account!

Payouts

After that, I was able to request for the cashback to be sent to me. I will say that this is one thing that I do like more than Rakuten as you do not have to wait to get paid every three months!

Why Should You Do This?

The question is why wouldn’t you do this? It’s an easy way to earn cash back on a stay that you were going to book anyway! Why would you leave money on the table? This is what I am referring to when I say to maximize your spend!
