AMEX Member Week is Here ~ March 17 – 21, 2025
American Express’s (Amex) annual Member Week is back with limited time offers. While a bit disappointing since they’re celebrating 175 years (and had some more attractive offers a couple of years ago), nonetheless you know my motto: don’t leave money on the table if you’re able to take advantage of any of these!

Note that are special offers for personal and business card holders and remember the Amex restriction of adding an offer to only one card

- Earn $50 back on $200+ on qualifying purchases at lowes.com or at Lowe’s by 3/31/2025. (business card offer)
- Earn $5 back on $25+ on fuel at Exxon Mobil
- Earn $70 back on $350+ of qualifying rentals booked directly with Hertz and completed by 4/30/2025.
- Earn $75 back on $250+ of qualifying purchases at select properties by 5/19 & book direct with Hilton.
- Earn $5 back on $50+ of qualifying purchases online at barnesandnoble.com by 3/31/2025.

Important reminders:
- Don’t forget that you must add the offer before spending on a card

Timing is typically quick when using an Amex offer ~ I will receive the “You recently used your Amex Offer XXX” the day a charge is posted to my Amex card!

Reminders about AMEX Offers
- These are a limited number of total offers so it’s always better to add to your offers and not use one (then come back and find the offer gone!)
- Bears repeating from above: you must add the offer before using the cars
- A big limitation with Amex offers is that you are limited to redeeming one offer per person – you see them on all eligible cards but once you add to one card, the other offers will disappear
- With that in mind, it pays to be strategic with which card (ie using the Hertz offer on a Platinum card with car rental protection)
- Also be strategic with member week offers, see how on the left I have two offers for Exxon? I would add and use the member week offer today and then use the 10% off one later since it has a longer time frame to use.
- Read the fine print – is it for one purchase or multiple, expiration date, etc!
Beautiful tip: best practice is to screenshot big dollar offers. I’ve never not had an offer applied but I’m all about CYA
I love credit card offers – these showcase how you can 1: make your money work harder for you (savings on what you were going to spend money on anyways) and 2: offset credit card annual fees (these one big part for how card issuers end up paying me over the year to have their cards)
Beautiful Tip: continue the stack and use a shopping portal to save even more money (haven’t joined Rakuten yet, you can earn $30 with my referral code – here’s my guide on Rakuten) or as an opportunity to earn miles!
